Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are available on Team plans and above. There are several ways to add them to your Shorthand stories — whichever way you choose, add your tracking in one place only. If Google Analytics is installed twice (for example, in your story settings and again through a tag manager), your readers will be counted twice.
How to find your Measurement ID
To locate your Google Analytics Measurement ID for pasting into the story or project settings, follow these steps:
Log into your Google Analytics account
If you have more than 1 property, select the correct one in the top left
Hover your mouse over the left hand bar and select "Admin" in the bottom left
Select "Data Streams" under the "Data collection and modification" section
Select the main Data stream under "All"
Under "Google Tag", select "View tag instructions"
Select the "Install Manually" tab
This will provide you with a HTML snippet, highlight and copy the section bolded like so:

Add to a single story
You can integrate Google Analytics on a story-by-story basis via Settings in the Editor — scroll to the Analytics section and insert your Measurement ID in the field provided. If you deploy your tags with Google Tag Manager, you can add your GTM container ID here instead. Google's guide covers installing Google Analytics with Tag Manager on the Google side.
Add to all stories in a project
For a multi-story project, you can add your Google Analytics Measurement ID or GTM container ID to all stories in the project through the project settings.
Add to all stories that use your theme
Contact our team to install your Google Analytics code snippet, or a tag manager such as Google Tag Manager, directly into your custom branded theme.
Either way, the tracking code will be included in every published story that uses that theme — and with a tag manager, you can change your tags at any time without needing our team.
