Each story card on your dashboard shows a small checkbox at the top right when hovered or focussed:
Pressing this checkbox will open the 'Bulk actions toolbar' at the bottom of the dashboard:
In this toolbar you can perform the following actions to any stories that are selected:
Copy
Delete
Republish
Unpublish
There are also buttons to ‘Select all’ (so you don’t have to manually select all your stories), and ‘Deselect all’.
It’s worth noting that pressing ‘Deselect all’ won’t close the bulk actions bar, so you can keep refining your selections. Press the X button to close it entirely.
While Delete and Copy are self-explanatory, let’s look at how Unpublish and Republish work:
Bulk unpublishing and republishing
If any of the stories you select are currently published the ‘Unpublish’ and ‘Republish’ options will become available. When you press either of those buttons you will see a window like this:
This shows you which of the currently selected stories will be republished or unpublished, and which will not (such as stories that are not currently published as in the example above).
In the rare case that a story is published to more than one location you will see checkboxes next to each separate publishing location:
You can either leave all selected to republish, or unpublish, all instances of the story, or just select an individual instance.
Pressing republish (or unpublish) will begin that process on each story. You will see a progress bar like below:
Once all stories have completed successfully you will see a message confirming the actions, upon which you can close the window and go back to your dashboard.
