The Shorthand editor is where you create your story by combining text and multimedia, adding code for analytics and widgets, and including social-media links for your readers to share the story.
Once your story is ready, if you've signed up to a subscription, you can click publish in the editor to choose from a number of options depending on your account and preferred hosting method.
Why does Publish show plans instead of publishing options?
Publishing options depend on your workspace’s subscription and the hosting method you choose. You may need to select or activate a subscription before continuing.
If clicking Publish shows plans or an upgrade message, first check the plan and message shown for your workspace. Being the workspace’s only member does not, by itself, mean publishing is included.
A plan-selection screen alone does not establish that you are on the wrong page, lack publishing permissions, or need to create a publishing location.
If you already have a subscription, or cannot complete the subscription step, contact Shorthand Support with the exact message and a screenshot. You do not need to create another account to ask us to investigate.
