This how-to guide will walk you through how to add the Shorthand Embed code to a Joomla Article.
Step 1: Publish your Shorthand Story.
Select the "Publish" button in the top right of the Shorthand editor, and publish that story to your subdomain:
Step 2: Copy the Embed code.
Step 3: Enable scripts to be placed in Joomla
By default, Joomla is configured to prevent the insertion of script tags. You can bypass this by enabling the addition of <script> tags into your articles:
Go to System -> Plugins
Search “TinyMCE” and click ‘Editor – TinyMCE”
Click ‘Set 0’ on the left sidebar
Scroll down to ‘Use Joomla Text Filter’ and toggle this ON
Click ‘Save & Close’
Step 4: Insert your embed script into Joomla
Now we have enabled script tags; we can go ahead and create an article with your Shorthand Story
Begin by creating a new article.
Provide a title for the article.
Navigate to the ‘Content’ tab and look for the ‘Toggle Editor’ button.
Click on the button to change the editor.
Paste the embed code you previously copied into the editor.
Click 'Save'
You can now preview or publish your post or page to view the embedded story in Joomla.
Please note: When embedding, stories may not appear full-width or align perfectly on your site. This is because your Joomla site stylings may override Shorthand stylings or the page template is not set to full-width. See the CSS tips in this article for assistance in adjusting page width.
