Add notes to a story card

Add custom labels or notes to the cards on your dashboard

Add short notes to the story cards on your dashboard to mark them with information useful to you and your collaborators. These could include labels to indicate their position in your editorial workflow, expected publishing date, to add a version number, or state content requirements.

The notes are displayed only on the dashboard story card and aren't published with the story. Your readers won't see them. They can, however, be seen and edited by other members of your team who are story collaborators.

Note: If you are collaborating with others and are looking to add comments inside a story for specific sections or text, see In-Editor commenting. To attach links to briefs and planning documents, see Story resource links.

How to add a note to a Shorthand Story

  1. In your Workspace, hover over the story card. An Add note link will appear:

  2. Click on the Add Note link, and a text box appears with an input box:

  3. Enter your note text, and click the SAVE button.

To remove a note, click on it within the story card, then delete any text in the text box and click the SAVE button.
