Co-creation sessions
A co-creation session is a working session built around your content, audience, and goals. A Shorthand expert prepares ideas or a mock-up, shows you how they built it, and talks through other approaches you could take.
Co-creation sessions can help you:
Plan the structure and visual rhythm of a new story
Turn draft copy and media into a finished Shorthand story
Find the sections and features that best suit your content
Improve your team’s workflow and develop confidence with publishing
Review an existing story and find practical improvements
Afterwards, you’ll have the recording and mock-up to refer to while your team finishes the story.
Co-creation availability by plan
Core: one session per subscription year
Unlimited: three sessions per subscription year
Enterprise: co-creation, training, and onboarding tailored to your team
Business: two sessions per subscription year
Team: not included as standard, but may be available as an add-on
Starter and Shorthand for Classrooms: not included
Important: Your subscription agreement is the source of truth for the number and type of sessions included with your plan. Legacy and negotiated subscriptions can have different entitlements.
Contact the Customer Success team to check how many co-creation sessions you have left, or to work out which type of session suits your project. To add sessions or compare plans, contact our Sales team.
How to book and prepare for a co-creation session
Complete the co-creation booking form from your Customer Success Manager.
At least three business days before the session, share your draft copy, media, storyboard, brand guidelines, and what you want the story to achieve. This gives our team time to prepare examples based on your content.
Tell us which parts of the story or workflow you want to focus on.
Come to the session ready to discuss the mock-up and ask questions.
Use the mock-up and recording as references while you finish your story.
Tip: If you already have a developed story and mainly want advice on improving it, ask whether a story review would suit you better. A story review uses one of your co-creation sessions.
