There are two main ways to change the fonts and colours in a Shorthand story.

  1. By setting up a branded theme.

Themes can be applied to stories at a click of a button, and will automatically apply your desired fonts and colours for different elements (e.g. headers, pull-quotes, linked text).

All users get access to a Shorthand standard theme which has our fonts and colours built in as default.

  2. By using developer tools to add custom CSS to the story.

CSS can be added on a story-by-story basis to override specific elements of the theme. This could be to change fonts or colours, as well as make other changes to a story. You should only work with this if you are confident at CSS, as incorrect code could break the story.
