To add a new section to your story, click the + / ADD SECTION button, above or below any section in your story.
You can also add sections by clicking the Add section button that appears between sections in the major part of the Editor window.
Clicking any of these buttons will open a panel showing a menu of available section types to add to the story.
The menu of section types
Click on any of the shown sections to add a copy of it to your story.
On the left-hand side of the panel are options for showing the Shorthand default section types, or custom-styled variations of those section types organised into categories.
If you have saved any of your own sections as custom section templates, this panel is also where you'll find those templates.
Adding copies of sections
If you already have a section whose content and/or style you'd like to replicate in the same story, you can duplicate a section. This places a copy of the chosen section directly below the one from which it was duplicated. The duplicate can then be moved to any position within the story and further modified.
Most Shorthand plans include a limit of 25 sections per story. If you reach the limit, and wish to discuss increasing the size of your story, please contact us.
To change the order of the sections in your story, drag a section thumbnail (the small representations of each section in the column on the left of the editor) up or down the list.
