We've made a few tweaks to the Shorthand dashboard. This includes an updated card menu which now has a "press to open" menu (previously this opened on hover). And new bulk actions on stories including bulk copy, delete, publish and unpublish. Customers who are part of our early access programme (EAP) can now trial some new scroll effects for title and text over media sections. For text, the effects include zoom, fade, and blur. For background images/video, the effects include zoom, fade, blur, greyscale, and fixed or scroll options. 🎉 New section type: Scrollpoints!
We're excited to announce a brand new section type! Scrollpoints allows your readers to explore an image through scrolling. You can highlight parts of the image and add text and other information which appears as the image zooms into each point. Learn more about it here.
🔧 Hack to fix issue with WebKit browsers and fixed position images
Temporary fix for a browser bug introduced in recent releases of WebKit based browsers where fixed position images don't display properly. The issue has been raised with the WebKit team.

🤦♀️ No more overlays everywhere
There was a regression which resulted in overlay options being present in all Section Options panels, even for sections without overlays. This has now been fixed, and only sections that actually have overlays will show the options.

👓 Dashboard notes are now readable again
There was an issue where notes on the dashboard were teeny-tiny and basically unreadable. They are now back to regular size!

📼 Safari fixes
Safari 15 on iOS and MacOS introduced a bug where a fixed position video would not autoplay. This adds a workaround until the core bug is fixed in a future Safari release. In addition, we've fixed tooltips in the editor for Safari users.
🧑⚕️ Dashboard performance boost for users with lots of stories
Yesterdays state management release resulted in issues for customers with large amounts of stories on their dashboard. That has been fixed.

✅ Fix for header custom CSS class not rendering
There was an issue where adding a custom class to a header via section options was not rendering the class in the story. This has been resolved.
💾 Stop inline HTML editor jumping around while editing
Writing code in the inline HTML editor resulted in the modal jumping around as the code was validated which was pretty irritating. This has been resolved.

✅ Add saving indicator to editor
At the top of the editor we show the current state of the story. It will say 'Saving' as the content is saved to the server and 'Saved' once complete. If there are connection or other issues an alert will show.
🚀 Display fallback image in section thumbnails to improve editor performance
If a section has autoplay video (such as Title or Text Over Media) only the fallback image will be shown in the section sidebar. This will improve performance of stories with lots of autoplay video.
